Hawzah News Agency (Beirut, Lebanon) – Islamic movements in Lebanon held a meeting on Trump's recent decision to move US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem al-Quds. During the meeting, Muslim scholars discussed ways to address Trump's al-Quds move, they also voiced support for Palestinian Cause and created a committee to take necessary steps in this regard.
Head of the International Union of Resistance Scholars Sheikh Maher Hammoud delivered a speech on behalf of the present audience, "Trump's decision not only infuriated the whole Muslim community but also made all freed men around the world take a strong stance condemning his decision."
"His decision led to United Nations' resolution to support Palestinian resistance."
Reiterating that Trump's Jerusalem Declaration had positive results as well, Sheikh Hammoud added that this move increases our confidence in the fact that we must invest more to reach full Palestinian liberation; "The Zionists are dealing with a state of fear and panic among them."
It's noteworthy that On December 6, Trump made the controversial announcement in a speech at the White House, saying his administration would also begin the process of moving the American embassy in Tel Aviv to the holy city, which is expected to take years.
His decision provoked mass protests worldwide, with many leaders of Islamic countries harshly denouncing the US president.
